My Favorite Books For Health and Wellness
Here are some of the books I feel have been so influential to helping me on my health journey, that maybe you would like to read as well!
The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown:
This is one of my favorite books by Brené, where she talks about how through her research, she had discovered that there were ten guideposts to whole-hearted living, and she wasn’t actively incorporating them into her life! Throughout the book she shares so many great examples his book is such a gem, and I recommend it often. I like it for its simple delivery and actionable steps you can take to start adding in positive changes to your well-being.
Atomic Habits by James Clear:
This is fantastic book that really gives you a framework on how to create new habits, break old ones, and to take baby steps to make a big impact. I love how this book is written, and the practical steps anyone can take to change their habits. I highly recommend it.
The Upside of Stress by Kelly McGonigal:
One of my personal favorites because I always believed that stress was bad for you and that it had to be avoided. However, Kelly McGonigal completely enlightened me on how stress and a full life are deeply intertwined. The Upside of Stress is not a guide to getting rid of stress but a guide to getting better at stress by understanding it, embracing it, and using it. I feel that everyone should read this book!
These three books are wonderful books for wherever you are in your health journey, and they are topics I feel are essential in health and wellness. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
